Duterte brings Holywood’s Steven Seagal to Julu

DAVAO CITY, Philippines — Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte visited government forces in Julu Friday with a special guests- Holywood Action Star Steven Seagal.

Duterte visited the soldiers who were previously assigned in Marawi and Seagal, was Duterte’s special guest.

Speaking before the soldies Seagal said “I know you guys put your life on the line every day. I myself have done and will do the same thing so I understand this is serious business.”

“I believe there is a formula that can help the armed forces, the police, the intelligence network to combat this very, very well,” Seagal said.

He stressed “I am looking forward to discussing these things with President Duterte at a later time.”

In his speech said added “We don’t win this battle today; we don’t win this battle tomorrow. This is a fight that’s gonna be a long fight but the idea is to annihilate the enemy … everyday. We have to say to yourself this isn’t gonna be over today it’s gonna be a long battle,”

Seagal thanked soldiers for keeping the country safe and reminded them that the big issues the country faces, while winnable, cannot be eradicated overnight.

“We have kidnapping, narco-trafficking, human trafficking, organ trafficking and terrorism. These are the big things we are faced in the Philippines,” the actor added.

Seagal, an action star known for his police and military roles, has openly supported Duterte and his crackdown against illegal drugs.-Editha Z. Caduaya/Newswline.ph
