₱44 Million Worth of Shabu Seized in Davao del Norte Drug Bust

DAVAO CITY – Two individuals were arrested in a joint drug buy-bust operation conducted by the Police Regional Office XI (PRO-XI) at Oakwood Residence, Purok 2, Barangay New Visayas, Panabo City, Davao del Norte, at 6:30 AM on February 15.

The suspects, identified as the Top 1 and Top 3 most wanted drug personalities in the Davao Region, were apprehended during the operation.

According to the PRO-XI report, authorities seized 6.5 kilograms of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of ₱44,451,600, based on the standard drug price index.

PRO-XI Director PBGen Leon Victor Rosete reaffirmed the police force’s commitment to eradicating illegal drugs, emphasizing that their operations will continue to protect communities from the harmful effects of narcotics.

“We will not waver in our fight against illegal drugs. We will be relentless in pursuing those who threaten the safety and future of the people in our communities, especially in the Davao Region,” Rosete stated.

He also commended the operatives for the successful operation and assured the public that law enforcement will continue its efforts without unnecessary loss of life.

The drug bust took place just hours before the scheduled arrival of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in the province.

The operation was a collaborative effort involving the Regional Intelligence Division of PRO-XI, City Special Operations Group, City Drug Enforcement Unit, Panabo City Police Station, 2nd Davao del Norte Provincial Mobile Force Company (2nd DNPMFC), Provincial Intelligence Unit-DNPPO, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, and was conducted in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
