126 ka mga PDL ang gipagawas atul sa Independence Day

DAKBAYAN SA DAVAO, Pilipinas–– Mokabat sa 126 ka persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) gikan sa nagkalain-laing pasilidad sa prisohan sa tibuok nasod ang gipagawas atol sa ika-126 nga Independence Day sa nasud niadtong Miyerkules.

Sa usa ka news release, ang Department of Justice (DOJ) gisaysay nilang Undersecretary Margarita Gutierrez ug Bureau of Corrections Director General Gregorio Catapang Jr. maoy nangulo sa seremonyas, ang pagpagawas sa 126 ka mga PDL.

Atul sa aktibidad, gitambagan ni Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla ang mga gipagawas nga PDL nga dili ilabay kining ikaduhang higayon sa ilang kinabuhi ug kinahanglan mosunod sa balud.

Gipahinumduman usab ni Remulla ang ubang mga PDL magtarong na ug himoong positibo ang panlantaw ug bag-uhon ang ilang mga kaugalingon.

“Imong gibuntog ang mga hagit ug mga babag aron mahimong mas maayong tawo ka karon, hinaot nga padayon nimong padan-agan ang imong kahayag samtang imong gigakos ang kinabuhi gawas sa prisohan aron magsilbing inspirasyon sa positibong pagbag-o sa uban,” giingnan niya ang gipagawas nga PDLs.

Ang BuCor nagkanayon nga sa 126, 61 gikan sa New Bilibid Prison (NBP) maximum security camp, medium security camp, ug reception and diagnostic center sa Muntinlupa City; 16 gikan sa Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) sa Mandaluyong City; 22 gikan sa Davao Prison and Penal Farm sa Davao del Norte; 10 gikan sa San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm sa Zamboanga City; walo ang gikan sa Leyte Regional Prison sa Abuyog; walo gikan sa Sablayan Prison ug Penal Farm sa Occidental Mindoro; ug usa gikan sa Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm sa Palawan.

Kapitoan ug duha sa gipagawas nga mga PDL ang nakasilbi sa ilang labing taas nga sentensiya, 31 ang naabsuwelto, 16 ang nahatagan og parol, unom ang nahatagan og probasyon, ug ang usa adunay conditional pardon.

Gidayeg ni Remulla si Catapang alang sa tukma sa panahon nga inisyatiba subay sa pag-obserbar sa nasud sa Kagawasan sa Pilipinas.

Ang datos gikan sa BuCor nagpakita nga 14,324 ka mga PDL ang na-release ubos sa administrasyong Marcos.
