DAVAO CITY (October 28)-  Presidential Spokesperson and Chief Presidential Legal Counsel Salvador Panelo said there will be “no room for complacency” and hinted that government will continue to undertake bolder reforms to improve public service.

The recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey shows a five-point increase in the net trust rating of President Rodrigo Duterte Duterte from the previous quarter’s +57 to +62.

“We will persevere to undertake bolder reforms to make the bureaucracy more efficient and responsive to the needs of our people,” Panelo said.

The SWS survey was conducted from Sept. 15 to 23 shows that  70% of Filipino adults were satisfied with the President’s performance and 16% were dissatisfied.

According to SWS, the five-point increase of the net satisfaction of the President could be attributed to the increase of ratings in Metro Manila, combined with steady scores in the Visayas and Mindanao.

Panelo said the survey result will be a “source of inspiration to continue delivering the President’s promise of genuine and meaningful change in the government and to the nation.”-  ecz/ NewsLine
