17 Surigao studes visit Davao Light Control Center

DAVAO CITY ––Some seventeen graduating Computer Engineering Students from STI College in Surigao City visited the Control Center of Davao Light as part of their learning exposure on systems operations on June 9, 2023.

Davao Light’s  Engr. Mark David Lacuna of the System Operations Department shared to the students the operations of the Remote Terminal Unit (Data Concentrator) currently employed in the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system.

systems operations on June 9, 2023.

The SCADA enables engineers to remotely collect and process data coming from the different franchise areas of Davao Light, making communication between different remote devices easier and more efficient thereby lessening the duration of power outages.
