18 PDLs in Montevista District Jail successfully graduate from ALS program

DAVAO – 18 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) at the Montevista District Jail in Davao de Oro successfully migrated to the Alternative Learning System (ALS) as they participated in the 7th graduation and 4th moving-up ceremony held at the Montevista District Jail basketball court on Thursday, July 20.

Out of the 18 graduates and completers, five achieved their elementary level, while 13 completed their junior high school education, with four of them already released.

The event was graced by the presence of the school administrator of Montevista, ALS implementers, personnel from BJMP-PRO XI, and staff from the Montevista District Jail, who escorted the graduates and completers during the processional.

Officials from the provincial and local governments of Davao de Oro, representatives from the Department of Education, and other dignitaries also attended the ceremony.
