2 Cebuanas raped on Women’s month

A 16-year-old girl was killed, raped and skinned off early Monday morning in Barangay Bankal, Lapu-Lapu City, while a 14-year-old almost died after her head was hit by a stone and raped by a construction worker in Cebu City.

The half-naked body of Christine Silawan, whose head was skinned to the bone, was found dead in a grassy area in Lapu-Lapu City.

Her mother last saw Silawan, a mass collector in Sacred Heart Parish in Barangay Pajac, 4 p.m. of Sunday.

Police are now looking at three men who allegedly committed the gruesome murder.Lapu-Lapu City Police Director Limuel Obon said a witness to the crime said the suspects slashed the throat of the victim before raping her.
 
Meanwhile, the 26-year-old construction worker who robbed a convenient store and raped the attendant last Friday, March 7, was arrested in Tabogon Cebu.

The suspected identified as Fraem Fructoso of Barangay Busay, Cebu City. Based on the CCTV footage Fructoso went inside the convenient store pretending to buy something.

The attendant was outside the store when Fructoso came in. When she was inside, Fructoso immediately declared robbery and dragged the attendant at the back portion of the store where she was hit by a stone in the head several times.

After hitting the attendant with a stone, Fructoso dragged the victim inside the store again and raped her. Fructoso is now detained at the Mabolo Police Station.
