3 killed in  Misamis Oriental ambush

DAVAO CITY — Three persons on board a  cargo truck loaded with motorcycles were killed in an ambush at about 4:00 in the morning  of October 10, in  Barangay Anacan, in Gingoog City.

The truck driver and two other passengers were travelling from Butuan City to Cagayan de Oro  City.

In separate initial statements dispatched at about 11 a.m. Tuesday, the Gingoog City Police Station and the Misamis Oriental Provincial Police Office confirmed the incident,

Reports have it, the suspects were on board a motorbike were trailing the truck and assaulted the victims  in a secluded area of barangaya Anacan  using  M16 assault rifles.

The driver was driver was hit in the head with a rifle bullet.

The Misamis Oriental Police are still investigating the incident and has yet to determine the motive and the identities of the suspects.
