3 tourists from from Bansalan town die in Bohol

BOHOL – A group of tourists, all residents of Bansalan, Davao del Sur, met a tragic accident when the van they were traveling in collided in Buenos Aires, Carmen, Bohol earlier this morning.

According to a report from the Carmen Police in Bohol, three individuals lost their lives in the accident. They were identified as Abelardo Cagampang, 48, Janice Rosen Bonbon, 35, and Marlon Ondos.

In the same incident, the driver, Junrey Malisa Cagampang, 39, Lucino Cagampang, 34, and Jasper Argomes, 23, sustained injuries and were immediately taken to Carmen Hospital. The report states that the driver and the passenger seated beside him were severely trapped in the vehicle.

It’s believed that the driver may have dozed off while on an early morning journey.

The group was on vacation from their residence in Panglao, heading towards their destination, the Chocolate Hills when the accident occurred.
