3,000 army, police and law enforcers to secure DAVRAA 2019

DAVAO CITY (January 23)-— Around 3000 strong contingent from the different law enforcement units here was deployed to secure the DAVRAA Meet 2019 at UP Mindanao Campus in Barangay Mintal here.

Maj Gen Benito De Leon, Head of Davao Safety Security Command Center (PSSCC) in his send off message said,  sending contingent to the DAVRAA  is the city’s way of showcasing “Our commitment to the public that we are ready to secure DAVRAA, we will be inspired by your  colleagues by showing that you are there and you are ready, as your public safety and security  commander, we are ready.”

The different units were given specific task  required to provide security to all delegates who will participate in the DAVRAA 2019 from the Billeting Quarters to Playing Venue back and forth.

De Leon stressed “This is to ensure the zero incident relating to the conduct of the Regional Meet.”

The Davao participating units from the Security, Safety and Emergency Preparedness Response components such as DCPO, TF Davao, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 11, BFP, CIDG11, PDEA11, Phil Coast Guard, Central 911, Maritime Group 11, Police Auxiliary and others were sent-off earlier this afternoon around 3:00 in the afternoon of January 23, 2019 at Davao City Police Office, Davao City to provide full length security coverage for the DAVRAA Meet 2019  which will be officially opened  on January 27, 2019 to February 2, 2019 at UP Mindanao Campus, Mintal Davao City.

The send-off ceremony  was attended by no less than the Regional Director of PRO11, PCSupt Marcelo Morales, Maj Gen Benito De Leon, Head of PSSCC, the City Director, PSSupt Alexander C Tagum, Col, Nolasco Mempin, Commander, FT Dvo ,  Miss Janet J Veloso, representative for DepEd and other personnel from different law enforcement agencies.-Editha Z.
