DAVAO CITY —Four members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front were killed in an ambush believed to have been a clan war in Barangay Satan, Shariff Aguak, Maguindanao del Sur yesterday morning.
Military reports showed that the victims were onboard two motorbikes traveling from Barangay Dapiawan, Datu SAudi Ampatuan heading towards Barangay Limpongo, Datu Hofer, Maguindanao del Sur when they were ambushed by still unidentified suspects.
Shariff Aguak police chief Lt. Colonel Reggie Albellera said the fatalities involved a father and son who are MILF members.
Albellera suspects that a group of BIFF members under the leadership of Kagi Katatang was behind the incident.
