5 van passengers perished in fire after their vehicle collide with a truck

DAVAO CITY — Five people died in the fire after the passenger van they were riding in collided with a truck at the boundary of Barangay Lohong and Barangay Greenhills in the town of Antipas, North Cotabato at around 12:25 in the afternoon on Monday.

According to eyewitnesses, the van with passengers was speeding when it rammed with a truck in a curve along the provincial road.

Based on the video taken by Lesser Manansala, the passengers of the van were thrown out of the van due to the impact and the blaze followed. The victims are almost beyond recognition.

Firefighters helped put off the fire.

The Van has a route Arakan-Kidapawan & vice versa. Authorities has yet to identify the victims.
