MAGUINDANAO DEL NORTE—Fifty (50) indigent families in the region will benefit from 50 decent housing units under the Resettlement Project of the Ministry of Human Settlement and Development (MHSD)— the housing arm of the Bangsamoro Government.

To be constructed in Barangay Darapanan, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte, Chief of Planning and Design Division Engr. Zainodin Buisan unveiled the housing design during the groundbreaking on November 12, 2022.

“Each unit will be a one-storey residential building with a 49 sq.m. floor area, two bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen, and a living room area,” Buisan shared.

As he welcomed the participants to the central administrative camp of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), Director General Esmael Ebrahim disclosed that beneficiaries will be selected based on identified guidelines.

“The selection of beneficiaries will be based on guidelines identified by the Housing and Human Settlements Division in line with the community’s needs and inputs from local stakeholders, and to be announced on a later date,” Ebrahim explained.

While exemplifying Moral Governance in their service delivery, Director II for Operations and Management Salem Demuna reminded everyone that “the services [of MHSD] are always to please Allah SWT first and foremost”.

Aside from the housing units in Darapanan, MHSD is also implementing the same projects in strategic locations across the region. –BIO
