6.4 magnitude earthquake shocks part of Southern Mindanao

DAVAO CITY (September 8)—  A magnitude-6.4 earthquake shocked Manay , Davao Oriental and other parts southern Mindanao on Saturday at around 3:16  in the afternoon.

The National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC) in an advisory said the epicenter of the Tectonic quake was in Manay (Davao Oriental).

Other areas  affected include:

Intensity 5 – Davao City; Mati City, Davao Oriental
Intensity 4 – Koronadal City; Bislig City
Intensity 3 – Tupi, South Cotabato; Alabel, and Malapatan, Sarangani
Intensity 2 – Cotabato City; Gen. Santos City

In Davao City, mall goers scamper for safety when they felt the earthquake.

In some  areas of the region, resident scamper for safety, but as of this posting, no casualty is reported.-NewsLine.ph
