Basilan PNP arrests 3 Chinese nationals suspected to be drug couriers

BASILAN. Philippines- Three (3) Chinese (Hongkong) nationals were arrested as alleged courier in Barangay Dansalan, Hadji Mutamad, Municipality in Basilan Wednesday night, May 2, 2018.

Provincial Director Police Senior Superintendent Rufino Inot  identified the Chinese nationals as  Tsz Kin Tsui 40, Po Wong, 33, and Chun Wai, 32.

Police authorities  flagged down the suspects  while they were  purchasing  gasoline in the island.

Sensing that the buyers were foreigners, the police asked for their passports.

Inot said only two of the three presented a passport while the other one which he did not specify failed to present  a document.

Inot said they suspect that the  foreigners were couriers  of  illegal drugs in Basilan.-Richard Falcatan/Newsline.ph
