DAVAO CITY (March 15) — Around 60, 000 supporters of President Rodrigo Duterte’s senatorial candidates will converge tonight at the Crocodile Park, Maa,
Duterte Campaign Team (DCT) representative Engr. Arwin Ardon during yesterday’s press conference said , the supporters will be coming from the different provinces and cities of Davao region.
Ardon said the President will campaign PDP-Laban candidates to include former Special Assistant to the President Christopher ‘Bong’ Go, Maguindanao Cong. Zajid Mangudadatu, former PNP chief Ronald Dela Rosa, former Presidential Political Adviser Francis Tolentino and Sen. Koko Pimentel.
Aside from the PDP-Laban candidates, Duterte’s other candidates namely : reelectionist Senator Cynthia Villar, Sen. Sonny Angara, Sen. JV Ejercito, Ilocos and aspirants Norte Gov. Imee Marcos, singer Fredie Aguilar and former DILG sec. Raffy Alunan will be joining the rally.
Meanwhile, Davao City Police Director Senior Superintendent Alexander Tagum said they will implement tight security measures to ensure the safety of the spectators as well as the VIP who will be present during the rally.
Tagum said they will prohibit any kinds of bags even plastic bags inside the event area for security reasons.
Tagum said aside from bags, umbrellas and ballpens as well as caps will be also banned inside the rally area.
He also advised all the supporters not to bring bags and other prohibited things because the police will really confiscate it.-Armando B. Fenequito Jr./NewsLine.ph
