Davao Region takers dominate teachers exam

DAVAO CITY (May 26) — Teachers from Davao region dominated the Licensed  Professional Teachers (LPT) conducted on March 2019.

Based on the result which was published online by the Professional Regulation Commission on May 25, Stephannie Apple M. Piodo of Compostela Valley State College – Montevista Branch got the top spot in elementary level garnering 93.29 percent rating  while Honey Gracielle D. Baclayo of University of Mindanao topped the secondary level with 93.40 percent rating

Fifteen (15) examinees from Davao Region occupied the top ten post in the elementary level while 19 in secondary level.

A total 19,659 new elementary teachers or 27.28% out of 72,054 examinees and 22,271 secondary teachers or 25.95% out of 85,823 examinees successfully passed the LET.

Of the 19,659 elementary teacher passers, 5,078 were first timers and 14,581 while took the exam for the second time.

In the secondary level, 15,621 passers were first timers while 6,650 were repeaters.

The March 2019 LET covered two (2) parts for Elementary – General Education (40%) and Professional Education (60%) and three (3) parts for Secondary – General Education (20%), Professional Education (40%) and Specialization (40%).-Armand B. Fenequito Jr./NewsLine.ph
