Sta. National High is Indak-Indak champ

DAVAO CITY — Three participating groups of this year’s Indak-Indak sa Kadayawan 2019 bagged P1 million each as they were hailed the grand champions in the different categories.

The Sta. Ana National High School Performing Arts Guild declared as the grand champion for the Champion’s Circle Category which they bagged P1.2 cash prize plus gift certificates from their festival sponsors.

The said group also bagged the special awards for best in Music and Artistic Design for the said competition.

For the Davao School-Based category, Catalunan Pequeno National High School – Kawangis Performing Arts Guild got the P1 Million as the grand champion and they also bagged the best music award.

The Sindac Anib Performing Ensemble of Bislig City, Surigao del Sur hailed as the grand champion category bested the other seven participants from outside Davao City localities.

Performers from Bislig City also got the best in music and artistic design award for their category.

As to the final ranking, for the Champion’s Circle Category, Sining Sayon Dawet Cultural Ensemble of Davao City National High School hailed as first runner-up while the second runner-up was Mabini National High School Special Program for the Arts.

The first runner-up got P600, 000 cash prize while second runner-up took home P500, 000

For the Davao School-Based, Magallanes Elementary School ranked second and also bagged the best in artistic design. The Buhangin District Performing Arts Guild got the third place followed by Don Juan Dela Cruz Central Elementary School and Lapu-Lapu Elementary School

For the open category, the Elizalde National High School of Maco, Davao de Oro took the second place followed by Mati Comprehensive National High school of Mati City, Davao Oriental, Lupon National Comprehensive High School of Lupon, Davao Oriental got the fourth spot and Kablacan Integrated School of Saranggani Province got the last spot.

The second placer for open and Davao school-based, took home P400, 000, the third P300, 000, fourth P200, 000 and the fifth P100, 000. (Newsline.ph)
