DAVAO CITY–– Radio broadcaster Pat Lucero Pacquiao survived an ambush try early this morning, October 11, Along Abad santos St, Tagum City.

Pacquiao is currently serving as the Provincial Information Office (PIO) of Davao del Norte. He also owns 99.9 RPFM.

Based on his live interview with MindanaoNet Balita, Pacquiao was about to leave his radio station onboard his car when he heard gunfires from behind.

“Nagminor ko, nakadungog ko og paka-paka, Nakita pa naku ang nawong sa animal, paminaw ko gisundan ko gikan sa kasaway, mao to niduko ko (I was running slow, when I heard gunfires, I saw the face of the animal, I suspect he was following me from Kasaway (building), so I bend down)” he revealed.

Reports have it, Pacquiao sustained wounds on his shoulder and is now being treated in Tagum hospital.

On the video, a man (possible a police investigator) asked him of possible enemies, he quickly answered “Naa koy kalaban kanang administrator pero dili ko motuo nga siya nagpapatay naku ug ang Tadeco (Yes, our administrator, but I don’t believe that she has the intent to kill me and Tadeco) .”

Lucero was referring to Engr. Josie Rabanos, the provincial administrator.

Asked to comment about the allegation, Rabanos said “Me?, how can I, we are working in one roof and I take his attacks and comments as constructive criticism.”

TADECO Assistant Vice President for Human Resource Zeaus Vadil in an interview said “Why link that to the controversy at hand (to Tadeco), we work professionally and we do not do that, that’s too much.”

Based on his Facebook post today and yesterday, Lucero discussed in his radio program the issue involving Tagum Agricultural Development Corporation (TADECO) and the provincial government about the road closure by the banana firm management.
