KIDAPAWAN, North Cotabato —-To attain inclusive and sustainable peace, another Lokal Serbisyo Caravan was successfully conducted today at Barangay Don Panaca, Magpet, Cotabato. Different government agencies (national, regional, PLGU and MLGU) were convened to cater the basic social needs of the villagers.
A total of 62 individuals received checks from STEP program of the Provincial Cooperative and Development Office (PCDO); 23 landowners received their Certificate of Land Ownership Award from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR); while several farmers received fruit trees and 4,250 banana tissue culture from the Office of Provincial Agriculturist (OPag).
During her speech, Governor Nancy A. Catamco said, “Ang anak magrebelde kung gipasagdan sa iyahang amahan o inahan. Apan kung ang amahan ug inahan nagpangga ug nag amoma sa anak walay rason nga ang anak magrebelde. Mao kini ang tumong sa Lokal Serbisyo Caravan ang ipatagamtam sa katawhan hilabi na sa mga layong barangay ang pagpangga ug pag-amuma sa gobyerno aron wala nay rason magrebelde.”
Magpet Municipal Mayor Florenito “Toto” Gonzaga and Don Panaca Barangay Captain Melecio Dulangan thanked the Provincial Task Force to End LocaL Communist Armed Conflict and participating government agencies (TESDA, DOLE, Philhealth, DAR, Region XII DPWH, NHA, DOH, MGB, AFP, PNP, PSWDO, PDRRMC, PCDO, OPAg, OPVet, IPHO and Provincial Department Heads) for reaching out and bringing the services to the grassroots.
DILG Provincial Director Ali B. Abdullah, 901st Brigade Commander Col Gabriel Viray, and TESDA Regional Director Raffy Abrogar were also present during the activity.-Randy Patches
