1st Filipino Covid-19 case in SG recovers-DFA

DAVAO CITY — The Department of Foreign Affairs Wednesday announced that the first Filipino who tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in Singapore has been discharged after recovering last week.

In a bulletin, the DFA stressed “The first Filipino national diagnosed as Covid-19-positive has been given a clean bill of health and was discharged from the hospital on 28 February.”

But two new cases involving Filipino were reported.

The DFA through the Philippine Embassy in Singapore, confirms reports of a second and third Filipino national who tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Singapore.

The second Filipino national was confirmed on 29 February 2020 to have contracted the disease while the third Filipino national’s case was announced on 02 March 2020.

“Both patients are confined in a hospital and are receiving appropriate treatment at the Singapore Government’s health facilities,” the agency said.-Editha Z. Caduaya
