Davao region creates TF COVID-19

DAVAO CITY — The Regional Peace and Order Council and Regional Development Council (RPOC) here has created the Davao Region COVID-19 Task Force to implement a regionwide unified effort across LGUs to contain the virus brought about by the pandemic.

The Davao City Information Office in a statement released Tuesday said, the RPOC officers unanimously designated Mayor Sara Duterte the Chairperson.

The same statement announced that Davao Region Covid-19 Task Force shall implement the following:

  • suspension of Land, Sea and Domestic Air for 14 days, and may be reduced to 7 days upon review of Infectious Disease Specialist Consultant.
  • Closed all entry to Region XI at 00:01H Thursday, 19 March 2020
  • Everyone can leave Region XI anytime but cannot come back beginning 00:01H Thursday, 19 March 2020 and for the next 14 days.

As it is now, partial lockdown has been implemented by various local government units in the region to protect every resident from getting contaminated.

The leaders called on residents to limit movement and abide the guidelines established by the government.-NewsLine
