3 new Covid-19 cases in Davao City

DAVAO CITY — Health authorities in Davao City recorded three new cases of coronavirus infection in the city bringing the total number fo Covid-19 infections in Davao Region to 90.

As of 5 p.m. on April 11, 2020, one new death in Davao City was also recorded bringing the total number of deaths to 14.

The total recoveries also increased to 50 with two new recoveries reported on Saturday.

Meanwhile, a total to 233 new Covid-19 infections for the entire country as of 4 p.m. Saturday.

Total number of Covid-19 cases is now at 4,428.

“As of 4 p.m. today, April 11, 2020, the Department of Health reports 233 new cases of Covid-19. The total number of cases in the country is now at 4,428,” it said in a bulletin.

DOH also reporter 17 new recoveries and 26 new deaths. This brings the total number of recoveries to 157 and the death toll to 247.

In a separate statement, the DOH advised the public to verify and fact-check information about the Covid-19 situation before sharing on social media.

The statement came following reports that a hospital in Metro Manila was allegedly instructed to stop counting Covid-19 deaths.

The DOH said it did not issue such order. (with reports from PNA)
