49k Overseas Filipinos repatriated since Coronavirus pandemic hit the world-DFA

DAVAO CITY — The Department of Foreign Affairs has repatriated some 49,520 overseas Filipinos affected by Coronavirus-19 in various countries and regions around the world since February.

In a statement, the DFA stated that as of June 19 “a total of 49,520 Overseas Filipinos (OFs) have now been repatriated by the DFA since it began bringing back Filipinos affected by COVID-19”.

Of said number, 28, 816 or 58.2 percent are sea-based and 20,704 or 41.8 percent are land-based, with the most recent repatriates arriving from Canada, The Netherlands, and UAE yesterday

All OFs who wish to be repatriated are requested to signify their interest to the nearest Embassies or Consulates General in their area.-Newsline
