DAKBAYAN SA DABAW — Gipasar na sa Kongreso sa ikatulo ug katapusang higayon ang usa ka balaud nga maghimo og  Department of  Disaster Resilience kon DDR.

Sa gihimong pagboto sa mga membro sa Kongreso,  241 ka Kongresman ang misuporta sa House Bill 5989 o Disaster Resilience Act. samtang  7 ang wala kauyon ug usa ang wala moboto.

Ang maong balaud nalakip sa State of the Nation Address ni President Rodrigo Duterte niadtong Hulyo 27, 2020.

Ang DDR maoy mamahimong responsable sa pagpanguna, pagdumala ug paghimo ug mga lakang aron nga malikayan o maibsan ang risgo sa kalamidad, pagresponde sa panahon sa kalamidad, pagrehabilitate ug pagrecover.

Sumala ni Albay Representative Joey Salceda, author sa maong balaud nga pinaagi sa pagmuntar sa DDR makasiguro nga dunay ahensya sa gobyerno nga muresponde sa national disasters ug emergencies hulip sa National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

Ang katukuran sa maong buhatan maoy motutok sa pagpalambo ug paghimo og mga pamaagi nga mamahimong hapsay ug malungtaron ang pagtubag sa nasud sa mga emerhensiya.

Gilauman nga ang maong ahensya maoy mopanday og mga estratehiya alang sa malungtaron ug sistimatikong pagtubag, paglikay, pagpangandam, pagrekober ug mga sombanan  sa  gobierno panahon sa emeghensiya nga mamahimong tamdanan sa  National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

Amongn gihangyo ang Senado nga paspasan ag pagpasa sa maong balaud kay ang emerhensiya walay gitakdang oras” saysay ni  Yedda Mariw Romualdez sa Tingod Party-list.

Ubos sa maong balaud, pagatukron usab ang e National Disaster Operations Center (NDOC), Alternative Command Centers (ACC), ug ang  Disaster Resilience Research and Training Institute (DRRTI).-Newsline.ph
