DAVAO CITY– Sixty-six percent of adult Filipinos are willing to get the Covid-19 vaccine if it is available now, this is the result of the national mobile survey conducted by the Social Weather Station (SWS) conducted on September 17-20, this year.

In a statement, the SWS showed the following survey result: 32% definitely would get the vaccine; 34% probably would get the vaccine while 31percent are unwilling.

Of the 31 percent unwilling; 14percent answered ‘probably’ would not get the vaccine and another 17percent said “definitely” would not get the vaccine.

The National Mobile Phone Survey was a probability-based survey conducted using mobile phone and computer-assisted telephone interviewing (CATI) of 1,249 adult Filipinos (18 years old and above) nationwide: 309 in Metro Manila, 328 in Balance Luzon, 300 in the Visayas, and 312 in Mindanao.

For its part, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque on Friday said the Palace is “pleased” with the results showing 66 percent of adult Filipinos are willing to get the Covid-19 vaccine.

“We view this as a positive development as this means that more Filipinos trust the current government’s vaccination program,” he said in a statement.-newsline.ph
