Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said on Tuesday, Jan. 12, that he welcomed the latest survey of Pulse Asia, conducted last November 23-December 2, 2020, showing him as the most approved member of the Cabinet.

“This recognition would serve as a source of inspiration for me to work doubly hard in advocating real, positive change that this presidency has brought to the lives of many of our countrymen,” Roque said.

Roque first assumed as President Duterte’s spokesperson on November 6, 2017.  He resigned from the said post in October 2018 when he decided to vie for a senate seat, a decision he later scrapped.

On April 13, 2020, Roque was back as Duterte’s spokesperson.

“I took the assignment as Presidential Spokesperson knowing fully well that the critics and detractors of the present administration have become loud, nasty and vociferous in their attacks against President Rodrigo Roa Duterte and his Administration. I believe in the strong, decisive and compassionate leadership of the President, and notwithstanding the loud political noise, I continue to work tirelessly 24/7 in articulating the vision and work of the Chief Executive amid the barrage of fake news and political hate,” Roque said.

Roque thanked the Filipino people who acknowledged him “as an effective Spokesperson and Cabinet member”.

“I also thank President Duterte for entrusting me this position. This recognition would serve as a source of inspiration for me to work doubly hard in advocating real, positive change that this presidency has brought to the lives of many of our countrymen,” Roque said. – Newsline.ph
