Davao City – Members of the Davao City Fire District returned the P500,000 they found while extinguishing the fire in the burning Silver Light Motor Parts along Bangoy St., at 6 a.m. on Sunday, January 24.

The firefighters found the money inside a vault.

The owner was so grateful that the money was not burned and safely returned to them.

The fire reached the second alarm and lasted for three hours before it was declared fire out. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.

With the high value of the money and the intensity of the fire, it was unlikely that the owner would still look for the money but the honesty of the firefighters prevailed and they returned the money. – Newsline.ph
