PDEA dismantles drug den in Zambo Sibugay

ZAMBOANGA CITY — Operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) together with the city police here have arrested six high-value individuals (HVIs) as they dismantled a drug den in Purok Sampaguita, Barangay Tenan, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, Friday, February 12, 2021 .

Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Director Emerson Margate identified the arrested suspects as: Bensar Ahiya Bual; Kemhar Asarain Ascalon; Geodion Achame Saregue; Jessielyn Sibud Saregue; Guillir Sibud Saregue; and, Raymondo Maloloy-on Vallez.

The suspects, according to Margate, maintained the drug den for their illegal trade except Guillir is an employee while Vallez was a visitor, respectively.

The buy-bust operation in Purok Sampaguita led to the arrest and dismantling of a drug den. Confiscated from the suspects were some 20 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated worth of P136,000, three coin purses, 29 pieces of 1,000 bills as boodle money topped with one genuine P1,000 bill as marked money and several illegal drug paraphernalia.

The anti-drug operation was launched after a series of surveillance involving the suspects.

The PDEA and the PNP are now preparing to file charges for violation of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 26 in relation to Section 5, Article II of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against the suspects.. – Nikolai Gonzalo
