Riding in tandem shot fish vendor in Davao del Sur

DIGOS CITY – A fish vendor was killed after a still unidentified riding in tandem in Sitio Masigasig, Barangay Astorga, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur on Monday afternoon, May 31.

Police Major Crisaldo Gaila, Sta. Cruz police chief identified the victim as Ramil Odog Tig-Adlao, male, 42, and a resident of Purok Mangga, Barangay Astroga, Sta. Cruz town.

Gaila said, witnesses told police investigators that at about 2pm while Tig-adlao was busy manning his fish stall , two persons onboard a motorcycle arrived and one of them approached the victim and instantly fired several shots hitting the victim three times which death.

After the incident, the gunman hurriedly ride the motorbike of his companion and fled en route to the South direction heading towards Digos City.

Authorities recovered three (3) fired cartridge casings from an undisclosed caliber of firearm and one fired slugs at the scene of the crime.

Gaila said his men are conducting pursuit operation against the attackers whom witnesses described the gunman to be wearing grey with black stripe T-Shirt, while the driver of the getaway vehicle was wearing a yellow T-shirt.

The police already submitted the evidences they collected from the crime scene to the police crime laboratory.-Eldie Aguirre
