C-130 crash death toll now rises to 31

DAVAO CITY — The casualty in the C-130 aircraft crash has increased from 17 to 31 .

This after the military transport plane carrying 92 passengers and crew in Sulu Crash on Sunday, killing at least 31 military personnel , two civilians while 50 were injured.

This is the third incident involving C-130 aicraft since January this year.

The first was in January 16, in Bukidnon which claimed 7 soldiers, the second on June 23, in Capaz tarlac which killed 7 soldiers.

The C-130 aircraft is model 60’s or 70’s.

The military said that as of 5:30 p.m., the fatalities consist of 29 military personnel who were on board the plane and two civilians who were on the ground in Patikul town.

Seventeen passengers of the plane remained missing.
