640 BPAT members receive Financial Assistance thru TUPAD Program

ARAKAN, COTABATO – The Government thru the strong collaboration of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) XII, Municipal Local Government Unit (MLGU) of Magpet, Municipal Police Station (MPS) of Magpet and Army’s 72nd Infantry “Gabay” Battalion awarded Financial Assistance worth 5,000 pesos each to 640 members of Barangay Peace Action Team (BPAT) from the 32 barangays of Magpet held at Headquarters ‘A’ Coy, Barangay Pangao-an, Magpet, North Cotabato on July 04, 2021.

The “Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers” or TUPAD Program embodies our government’s earnest commitment and dedication to assisting volunteers who continue to struggle for Peace and Order in their Barangay. This is to honor all of the hard work, sacrifices, and devotion of everyone who works to keep the peace and order in the Magpet municipality.

The 640 BPAT members participated in a 14-day BPATs Empowering Program from May 9 to 23, 2021. The 640 community volunteers in Magpet who successfully completed the program were awarded a total of 3,200,000 pesos in financial assistance.

The activity was graced by the presence of Hon. Rudy S Caoagdan, 2nd District Representative, North Cotabato; Hon. Florenito T Gonzaga, Municipal Mayor of Magpet; Mr. Franz Josef L Banco, TUPAD coordinator; Col Ted B Dumosmog, Deputy Brigade Commander, 1002BDE; LTC Jose C Regonay Jr, Commanding Officer, 72IB; PSGM Nelsom Empinado, MPS Magpet; 640 BPAT members; staff from DOLE XII, Office of the Congressman, Mayor’s Office; and officers and troops of MPS Magpet and 72IB.

“As we pursue our goal in maintaining peace and order in whole 2nd District of North Cotabato, let us not forget to acknowledge the efforts of our true heroes, our Barangay Peace Action Team. I salute you all for your hardworks and dedication in serving our nation.” Hon. Rudy S Caoagdan said in his message.

Further, Hon. Florenito T Gonzaga, Municipal Mayor of Magpet expressed his utmost gratitude to everyone who made the activity successful. “Our Government is sincere in its commitment to deliver services to all of you. Let us all maintain the peace and order in our home, the Municipality of Magpet. Uswag Magpet!” He added.

In response, Col. Ted B Dumosmog assured that the units under 1002BDE will continue to conduct trainings needed by our community volunteers. He assured that the army will continue to support all the programs of our Government intended for the people of North Cotabato.
