Lady shot by online chatmate in Cotabato Province

KIDAPAWAN CITY — A lady was wounded after she was allegedly shot by her online chatmate at 9:25 on the evening of August 17, in Makilala town, Cotabato Province.

Makilala Police Chief Major Maxim Valdez Peralta in a report identified the victim as Chona Casicnan Janea, 42, single, and a resident of Purok 3, Barangay Poblacion of said town.

Valdez said the initial investigation showed that the victim chatted with someone online before the incident.

The victim, according to the police, was instructed by her chatmate to get out of the house, she followed and brought her kids but the suspect shot and hitting her head.

Personnel of the Makilala Municipal Risk Reduction Management Office immediately brought the victim to the hospital.

Valdez said, they already have a person of interest in the case, the is eyeing a personal grudge as one motive of the incident.
