Drivers who evade checkpoint lands in jail

DAVAO CITY — In an effort to enter the city with his illegal drugs, a driver evaded the checkpoint but ended up in jail after members of Baguio Police and Task Force Davao personnel in a brief chase.

Police authorities identified the driver as Ryann Te Geyrozaga, 42, resident of Durian Village, Calinan District.

In a report, Baguio PNP revealed, at around 9:00 in the evening of September 8, 2021, they noticed that the suspect purposely evaded the checkpoint of task Force Davao prompting authorities to flag down Geyrozaga.Pagrekisa.

He was subjected to body frisking which led to the discovery of cried marijuana hidden inside a cigarette case with an estimated value of 1,500 pesos.

Geyrozaga is now in the custody of Baguio PNP while the police are preparing to file charges against him for violating the Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002.-

While another motorbike driver was also arrested by TF-Davao and Toril PNP with dried marijuana leaves,

Police identified the suspect as Jay Ar Lanias Aballe aka JR., , a resident of Barangay San Vicente of Makilala town in Cotabato province,

Authorities recovered improvised totter and dried weeds in his possession,

Geyrozaga is now in the custody of Baguio PNP while Abella at Toril PNP, the concerned police precincts are now preparing the charges against the suspects for violating the Comprehensive Drugs Act of 2002.- Paul Palacio
