MSU-Maguindanao Professor kills ambushers

DAVAO CITY ––Wounded but determined, this was the story of Mindanao State University – Maguindanao campus professor Daud Kadon, who killed his two attackers when they shot him while he was traversing the Maguindanao-Cotabato road on Tuesday afternoon, September 21.

Lt. Col. Rommel dela Vera, chief of police in Datu Odin Sinsuat town in Maguindanao said, Kadon was driving his Toyota Fortuner along the national highway in Barangay Kurintem, on his way home to Cotabato City at about 5:00 in the afternoon when the motor-riding suspects started to shot him.

Despite his wounds, Kadon was able to fire back and hit his attackers, instantly killing one while the other was still brought to Cotabato Regional Hospital but he expired later.

After the brief exchange of fire, Kadon sustained a gunshot wound in his abdomen and is now recovering at a local hospital.

Police identified the assailants as Montano Usman, a resident of Talitay, Maguindanao and Abdul Mama of Barangay Tamontaka, Datu Odin Sinsuat.

The families immediately claimed the cadaver of their loved ones.-Newsline
