Scoot Airline’s maiden flight lands in Davao City

DAVAO CITY — Scoot Airline has officially spread its wings to Mindanao when its maiden flight landed today at Davao City International Airport at 4:00 in the afternoon from Singapore.

Scoot flight TR-360 arrived here at 4:05 with 102 passengers onboard.

Officials of the airport and the City Tourism Office welcomed the aircraft with the traditional water cannon salute.

Generose Tecson, the City Tourism Officer in a Facebook post said Scoot Airlines will fly the Singapore-Davao-Singapore flight every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday aboard Airbus A320.

It will arrive in the city at 2:oo in the afternoon and leave for Singapore at 4:05 pm.

The Scoot Airline is the low-cost airline is a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines.

It can be recalled that Scoot’s sister airline Silkair previously operated the route for decades but the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of flights. Since SilkAir and Scoot share the same parent company. .-ezc
