Admin bets up in poll survey

DAVAO CITY—Reelectionist Santo Tomas Mayor Ernest Evangelista and his running mate Ricky Inodioan have capped off their 45-day campaign with their big leads in the latest surveys of Altheni Advertisements and Consultants, a pollster firm based in Davao City.

Altheni Advertisements and Consultants did a non-commissioned survey from April 28 to May 3, 2022, covering 19 barangays of Santo Tomas, Davao del Norte with 2, 108 survey respondents. Evangelista received a majority of support from the respondents, posting a 53 percent (1, 117) lead against his closest rival Roland Dejesica who garnered only a meager 30 percent (632) of voter share in the survey results.

Trailing Dejesica is Gabriel Eric Estela with 6.7 percent (142) while Enad Alog posted only a 2.8 percent (52). Only 7.5 percent (370) of the respondents refused to give an answer on who they will likely vote for they don’t know who they will vote for, or will not support any of the mayoralty bets. For vice-mayoralty post, Inodioan posted a 41.7 percent-lead (880) over his closest rival Cromwell Cocamas with 22 percent (462), Rene Landasan with 8.9 percent (187) followed by Daniel Batosalem with 8.7 percent (183), and lastly Dario Romano who posted only 2.3 percent (50) of voter share.

The polling firm said that 16.4 percent (346) of the respondents were undecided. In the congressional race, Janris Jay Relampagos is chalking up 49 percent (1,032) over his lone rival Alan Dujali who garnered only 39 percent (823) while 12 percent (253) refused to indicate their chosen candidate.
