Service disruptions on November 26 and 27 in different parts of Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct three power interruptions on November 26 and 27, Saturday and Sunday, affecting customers in different parts of Davao City.

The first power interruption will be for 30 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on November 26, Saturday. This service disruption will be necessary to conduct maintenance works in Matina Substation.

Specifically affected are customers in the portion of Bangkal, Ulas, and Talomo areas; from PLDT-Bangkal to Jollibee Puan, including Coca-Cola Ulas and neighboring areas; as well as customers along Davao-Bukidnon Road, from Ulas Junction to Sea Oil – Catalunan Pequeño, and neighboring areas.

The other two power interruptions will be for 45 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. and the normalization or return of load back to its normal set-up will be anytime between 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on November 27, Sunday.

These service disruptions will be necessary to conduct line stringing and maintenance works near PLDT-Bangkal.

Specifically affected are customers in the entire Bangkal, Matina, Ecoland, Maa, and neighboring areas; including those in the portion of Marfori Heights, along Gold Street San Rafael Maa from Maa Bridge to EMP Village, along Ruby Street Marfori Heights, from EMP Village to Circumferential Road Intersection, and neighboring areas.

Also affected are customers from corner Gempesaw St. and Ramon Magsaysay Ave. to Leon Garcia St., Sta. Ana Avenue to Lizada Street, Boulevard to Ecoland, including Bucana, and Monteverde to Villa Abrille and neighboring areas; as well as customers in San Pedro Square and nearby areas.

Additionally, customers in Tigatto, Mandug and Callawa areas; including Panorama Homes, Juliville Subdivision, Victor’s Village Tigatto, DDF Village, Deca Homes Tigatto, Callawa, Lapanday Foods, Dona Pilar Rodriguez Elementary School, Mandug Elementary School, Callawa Elementary School, Pablo Lorenzo National High School, Fatima Elementary School, Brgy. Talandang, Sitio Bunggan, Brgy. Lampiano, Prk 4 Brgy. Dalagdag – Calinan District, Palos Verdes Commercial Establishment, and the immediate environs will also be affected by this service disruption.

Also affected by the 45-minute power interruption between 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. are customers in the portion of Talomo, from Jollibee Puan to Ulas Police Station, and neighboring areas, customers along Davao Bukidnon Road, from Ulas Junction to Sea Oil – Catalunan Pequeño, and neighboring areas; as well as customers in the entire Ulas.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.

Safety is of paramount importance to the company and Davao Light reminds the public to always take extra precautions when passing by activity area/s where line repairs and maintenance are being done. Please heed and follow warning signs, especially in areas where personnel operate heavy equipment.
