OCD reports P21-m damage in Davao de Oro quake but PDRRMO reports P10-M

DAVAO CITY — The magnitude 6 earthquake that hit Davao de Oro on Wednesday caused P21,463,000 in infrastructure damage, the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) said Sunday.

But the figure posted on Sunday, February 5, in the official Facebook account of the provincial information office, it stated the the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) reported P10,000,233,861.00.

According to the latest OCD-National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) disaster bulletin, aside from 543 houses, the quake also damaged 203 other structures.

While the De Oro PDRRMO reported 560 houses partially damaged and seven (7) totally damaged and 914 government structures were affected.

The OCD reported 16 were injured but the PDRRMO report stated there were only 6.

A total of P360,000 worth of assistance had been provided to affected individuals.
