MICE 2023 opens in Davao City

DAVAO CITY — The MICECon (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) an annual event that brings together the world’s best minds in events, tourism, hospitality, and hospitality management formally opens here today.

The MICECon represents specialized sectors of tourism that require higher standards of services and facilities.

This year, MICECon Converge: Blaze New Trail will hold the MICECon Marketplace, which is an ancillary event of the conference at Function Room 1-3, SMX Convention Center Davao from March 1-3, Wednesday to Friday, 10 AM to 6 PM.

It is an exhibition featuring service providers and retailers of the M.I.C.E. supply chain.

The event aims to create a platform for buyers ard sellers to meet, interact and do business together, onsite.

The MICECon Marketplace is one of the most important events in Davao City as it showcases the city’s potential as a top MICE destination. It will highlight the different destinations in Mindanao.

It will feature 66 exhibitors consisting of local government units, destinations, tourism associations, tourism-related establishments, tour operators, international service providers, food providers, and propery developers that will showcase their products and services.

Some of the invited exhibitors include Mindanao Butchers (Food), K Fanlo, Mindanao Pearl International, M. Tanoy (Arts and Fashion), Park Inn by Radisson Davao, and other hotel chains in the region and more.

This will be a great opportunity for delegates to visit these places and experience their culture, beauty, and hospitality. Event organizers are expecting a high number of local and international delegates that will also help boost the MICE industry in the country.

The event will be attended by more than 3.000 buyers, sellers, and exhibitors. The goal is to encourage more people to participate in the MICE industry and create advocacy for its growth. This will also help increase tourism in the country as well as create job opportunities for Filipinos.

The event is organized by the Tourism Promotions Board and the Department of Tourism Davao City Tourism together with SMX Convention Center Davao.-PR
