Bukidnon PNP files murder vs 27-year old killer of his partner

March 14, 2023 by Eugene Hinutan

DAVAO CITY — The Don Carlos municipal police office has filed murder charges against Edson Erap Campo Jamisola, the 27-year old jobless man who killed his hapless partner on Saturday inside their house in Barangay Poblacion Sur, Don Carlos, Bukidnon.

Don Carlos Municipal Police Station Officer-In-Charge Police Major Patrick Castro said that the couple had a heated argument that escalated quickly.

“It all started with hated arguments. They argued, and then it blew up. until the stabbing incident,” Castro said.

Jamisola killed his girlfriend, 22-year-old college student Kimberly Achas on Monday, March 13. The couple had an argument that prompted Jamisola to take their child to his uncle’s house where Achas followed to breastfeed her baby. Jamisola refused and went on a rampage, beating Achas and then stabbing her with broken glass.

The violent outburst was captured in a Closed-Circuit TV that was posted on social media sending shockwaves as the level of violence shows the kind of horror women in violence situation goes through.

Achas was killed by her boyfriend Jamisola in what police investigators called a “drug-induced violence”. Jamisola first beat Achas in the house they were living in in Barangay Poblacion Sur, Don Carlos, Bukidnon. Their 9-year old daughter was seen on the sofa falling on the ground as Jamisola beat Achas.

Jamisola then stabbed Achas with a broken glass. She succumbed to multiple stab wounds in a hospital.

Jamisola tried to flee but responding policemen caught him. Castro said that Jamisola appeared to be “high on drugs” “Jamisola didn’t say anything, during our investigations, he is unresponsive,” Castro said.

Castro added that Jamisola will undergo a drug test to see if he violated the Dangerous Drugs Act. “We will file murder charges Jamisola,” Castro added.

Castor added that the Don Carlos Police had to put helmets on Jamisola as he violently bang his head against the detention wall.
