COTABATO CITY – Bangsamoro Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim administered the oath-taking of the newly appointed Senior Minister Abunawas ‘Von Al-Haq’ Maslamama on Monday, April 24, in a ceremony held at the Office of the Chief Minister (OCM), Bangsamoro Government Center, here.

The oath-taking was witnessed by Deputy Senior Minister Abdullah ‘Dong’ Cusain, other BARMM officials, and some media personalities.

Maslamama thanked Ebrahim for entrusting to him the position of the Senior Minister.

“Rest assured that I will work properly, progressively, and fruitfully within the dictates of my mandates,” Maslamama said.

“I am reiterating that I will perform my duties and responsibilities to the best of my abilities within the ambit of the Chief Minister’s directives,” he said.

Maslamama earlier served as deputy minister of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications and, later, that of the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government.

He also used to be the spokesperson of the Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces (BIAF), the military arm of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).

The OCM announced Maslamama’s appointment as Senior Minister on April 17. He replaced then Senior Minister Abdulraof Macacua, who was appointed earlier this month as the OIC Governor of the province of Maguindanao del Norte.
