Power interuption on May 6 and 7

DAVAO CITY — Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct a series of switching power interruptions on May 6 and 7, Saturday and Sunday, affecting customers in Davao City and Davao del Norte.

The first set of power interruptions will be for 30 minutes anytime between 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on May 6, Saturday, to conduct the transfer of loads to nearby substations while the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes, anytime between 4:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. on May 7, Sunday. These power interruptions are necessary to relocate the poles near Seventh Day Adventist at Panabo Highway to Cainglet Hospital.

Specifically affected are customers along Panabo Wharf from Davao Light San Vicente Substation to Maryknoll College, and immediate environs.

Additionally, a 6-hour power interruption will be conducted from 10:00 p.m. on May 6, Saturday, to 4:00 a.m. on May 7, Sunday, to isolate the work site for the said pole relocation activity.

Specifically affected are customers from Maryknoll College up to Carmen, including: Brgy. Sto Nino, Brgy Gamao, Gamao Subdivision, Brgy Salvacion, Aljons Subdivision, Luzviminda Ricemill, Carmen Poblacion, Brgy Lapaz, Bingcungan, Mangalcal Tuganay, Anibongan, Guadalupe, Sto. Nino Elementary Schl., Salvacion Elementary School, Carmen National Elementary School, Tuganay Elem School, Taba Elem School, La Paz National High School, Cabili Elem School, Cebulano Elem School, Carmen Municipal Hall, San Isidro Brgy Hall, and immediate environs.

Meanwhile, the second set of power interruptions will be for 30 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on May 7, Sunday to conduct the transfer of loads to nearby substations while the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes, anytime between 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on the same day.

These power interruptions are necessary to conduct line maintenance works along McArthur Highway near Talomo Bridge.

Specifically affected are customers from Talomo Bridge to Jollibee Puan, including Ulas Police Station 3, Coca-Cola Ulas, and immediate environs.

Also affected are customers along Davao Bukidnon Road, from Crossing Ulas to Sea Oil Catalunan Pequeno, including Davao Eagle Ridge Resort, San Pedro College, BRC Village, Bacanaya Village, and immediate environs.

Lastly, an 8-hour power interruption will be conducted from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on May 7, Sunday, to isolate the work site for the said line maintenance works.

Specifically affected are customers from Davao Light Bangkal Substation to Talomo Bridge, including Jollibee Talomo and immediate environs.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
