Ex-village chief gunned down in General Santos City

DAVAO CITY –— The former Barangay Captain of Fatima in General Santos City was gunned down early Thursday, June 8.

Police identified the victim as Jing Jayoma.

Initial police investigation showed that the victim went out early but upon reaching Prk 5, Brgy. Fatima, at around 5:30 in the morning the still unidentified riding in tandem shot him .

Jayoma was elected barangay captain in 2010 and has manifested his intent to run again in the upcoming barangay elections.

The village has 72, 613 population located just at the center of city.

The police is still investigating the case.
