2 Davao cops hacked to death by cults, one suspect killed

DAVAO CITY – Two policemen were killed by suspected members of a cult at 4:00 in the aa in Purok 4, Barangay Lacson, Calinan District,  this city.

The initial report of Calinan Police Station, revealed that PCpl Mark Anthony Corsino, PSMS Tito Lague, PCpl Ken Leo responded to  distress call  that a man ran amok in  said village, with Donald Ombrete driving the police mobile.

While the cops were negotiating to pacify and appease the chaotic situation, a suspect reportedly surfaced from behind and hacked  the policeman which prompted the police to quickly respond  but the bullets just didn’t get through while the man continued to  hack the hapless policemen.

First to fall was PCpl Corsino, then later PSMS Lague.

Neighbors claim that the suspects are members of the indigenous peoples who wear amulet and do rituals for their bodies to become bulletproof but not their neck and head.

The augmentation from Calinan Police Station  came, one member of the cult was killed and was identified as Benao Maanib Landas, 29, a resident of  Kalayaan, Sitio Pangyan, Barangay Tamugan, Marilog District.
