COTABATO – The Kapit-bisig Laban sa Kahirapan – Comprehensive Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS), a program under the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), continues to implement community projects aimed at improving the well-being of the people. This initiative is in line with the vision of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., with the support of Secretary Rex Gatchalian, to uplift the lives of the citizens.

Yesterday, on August 17, two isolation facilities were officially turned over to two barangays in Aleosan, Cotabato, specifically Barangay Cawilihan and Barangay Lower Mingading.

Each isolation facility is equipped with three rooms and a comfort room to accommodate individuals in need.

The isolation facilities have been equipped with proper electrical fixtures to ensure the safety and convenience of its users.

The total cost of these two projects, implemented by DSWD XII, amounts to 2.4 million pesos.

The local government unit (LGU) of Aleosan and the respective barangays also provided their counterpart contributions to make these projects possible.

This initiative underscores the commitment of the government and its partners to address the needs of the community, particularly in times of public health challenges.

As the region continues to face various issues, the turn over of these isolation facilities demonstrates a collaborative effort towards building a more resilient and prepared community.
