Duterte’s grandson running for Barangay Chairman in Davao

DAVAO CITY –— The eldest grandson of former President Rodrigo Duterte, his namesake, Rodrigo Omar Sangkula Duterte has filed his certificate of candidacy as barangay chairman of Buhangin in the second legislative district of the city on Tuseday, August 29.

Rodrigo Omar, is the eldest son of Davao City First District Congressman Paolo Duterte.

Omar, during the media interview said we will submit to the will of the people in the upcoming October 30 elections.

The young Duterte told reporters, his father’s achievements and performance as the former barangay chairman of Catalunan Grande has become his inspiration “Akong nakita ang progress sa iyang barangay sa Catalunan Grande, so, if akong maabot ang 90percent adto, proud na proud na ko (I witness the progress in his barangay in Catalunan Grande, so, if I can achieve 90percent of it, I will be proud).

On Monday, August 28, Congressman Duterte filed the certificate of candidacy on behalf of his wife January Navarez Duterte who is seeking reelection as barangay Chaiman of Catalunan Grande.

Catalunan Grande is the biggest barangay of the city interms of land area while Buhangin ia one of the city’s vote-rich barangays.-ezc
