DAVAO ORIENTAL – Across the picturesque landscapes of the Davao Region, World Teachers’ Day was observed with heartfelt appreciation and lively celebrations. This special occasion served as a fitting tribute to the dedicated educators who nurture and guide the future generation.

In the serene town of Banay-Banay, Davao Oriental, a grand gathering took place on October 6, where more than 7,000 teachers hailing from various corners of the province came together to mark World Teachers’ Day. The event was a poignant display of gratitude, acknowledging the tireless efforts of educators who play a pivotal role in shaping the minds of our youth.

Simultaneously, the Atrium of Tagum City Hall was abuzz with excitement as it welcomed over 2,300 teachers representing different schools from Tagum City, Davao del Norte. The festivities included heartfelt tributes and a chance for these educators to win various prizes, including home appliances and rice, in a raffle organized by the local government.

In addition to these generous gifts, teachers were treated to complimentary services such as free haircuts, nail care, and massages, adding a touch of relaxation to their day of celebration.

Meanwhile, in Davao City, the spotlight was on Tacunan Elementary School, where 44 teachers received a day of pampering courtesy of the Parent-Teachers Association (PTA). This heartwarming gesture was a testament to the unwavering commitment of these educators to impart knowledge and values to young minds.

The teachers enjoyed a day of rejuvenation, complete with full-body massages, manicures, pedicures, and a lively sing-along session. The annual initiative by the PTA serves as a heartfelt token of appreciation for the teachers’ invaluable contributions.

Tacunan Elementary School extended its gratitude to the PTA for their steadfast support and collaboration in organizing these meaningful activities.

These celebrations underscored the profound appreciation and recognition of the indispensable role teachers play in molding the future of the younger generation.
