ILIGAN CITY – The newly adorned and beautifully crafted overpass at MSU-IIT was officially opened to the public through a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony, featuring the distinctive artistic touch of local visual artist Kean Larrazabal and his “KARATULA” style artwork.

Larrazabal bestowed the overpass with the meaningful name “you are not alone, “aiming to instill hope and inspiration in those who traverse its path.

Collaborating with Kean in this artistic endeavor were fellow local visual artists Marvin Palasan, Julius Caitom, Orlando Baoc, Ronnel Looc, and Sande Navarette.

The project received support from various entities, including City Mayor Frederick Siao, Rain or Shine, the Department of Trade and Industry, Iligan Light & Power, Inc., Bureau of Fire Protection, City Engineer’s Office, Iligan City General Services Office, MSU-IIT, and the City Administrator’s Office.

The project not only serves as a functional structure, but also stands as a testament to the collaborative efforts of the local artistic community and the support from public and private sectors in enhancing the city’s infrastructure.
