Policeman escort dies while Sinsuat clan settles dispute in Cotabato City

COTABATO CITY — A Policeman escort was killed while prominent family clan gather to settle dispute in the house compound of former Maguindanao congressman Ronnie Sinsuat Sr. in Rosales St. Rosary Heights 6, Cotabato City at around 2:00 in the afternoon today.

The victiim was identified as Police Staff Sergeant Zahraman Mustapha Dicolano, a riffleman from the Police Regional Office in Cotabato City. He served as security escort of Maguindanao del Norte Mayor Lester Sinsuat.

Information gathered by Newsline disclosed that  siblings former Maguindanao Vice-Governor Datu Bimbo Sinsuat, Former Maguindanao congressman Datu Ronnie Sinsuat Sr. and nephew Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao Del Norte Mayor Datu Lester Sinsuat were in a New Year family meeting in the house of Datu Ronnie to reinvogorate family relations and settle  family differences when burst of gunfires were heard outside the compound.

Reports said, the clan was about to disperse when the gunburts was heart.

An SUV loaded with different types of short revolver and long firearms was also found with its tired busted.

The Scene of the Crime Operatives failed to find other evidence at the crime scene.

Responding police and military officers immediately arrested PFC John Carlo Bravo Nocum, member of the 2nd Mechanized Battalion, Philippine Army and serving as escort of Datu Kim Sinsuat, Jholex Padsod Buludan, Datu Ali Ibrahim Mongkar and Roufden Angkad Ameril, all residents of Datu Odin Sinsuat.

Troops of Philippine Marines, Cotabato City Police, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group cordoned Rosales St. for investigation as of presstime.
